Privacy and Cookies Policy
Last updated: March 04, 2026

This is a personal hobby project (XRstack.dev). I collect almost no personal data directly from users.

External Links
My website may include links to my profiles on external social media platforms (such as X/Twitter, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Substack, etc.). Clicking these links directs you to the respective platforms, which operate under their own privacy policies. I do not collect or process any personal data through these links.

Comments (Powered by Giscus)
I provide an optional comments feature using Giscus, an open-source commenting system that integrates with GitHub Discussions.

How Giscus Works
Comments are not stored on my server. They are hosted and displayed via GitHub Discussions in my public repository. To view or post comments, external scripts from giscus.app and GitHub APIs are loaded only after you explicitly accept via the consent prompt in the comments area.

Data Involved
When loading comments: The scripts may access your browser's local storage to manage authentication sessions (if you choose to sign in with GitHub). When commenting: You must sign in with a GitHub account. Your public GitHub username, avatar/profile picture, and the comment text you submit will be shared with GitHub and stored publicly in the corresponding Discussion thread. This content is visible to anyone viewing the discussion on GitHub or via the embedded view on this site.

No Anonymous Comments
Posting requires GitHub login, which helps reduce spam and ties content to identifiable accounts.

My Role and Liability
I act only as an embedder of GitHub-hosted content. Comments are user-generated; I do not moderate them in real-time (though I can remove or edit them via the GitHub repository if needed). I disclaim responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or content of user comments. Report concerns directly to GitHub (via their abuse reporting tools) or contact me for review/removal requests.

Legal basis
Processing relies on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Change Comments Consent," which disables Giscus and clears your stored choice.

Retention
Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser (e.g., localStorage) for up to 12 months or until withdrawn. Actual comments are retained by GitHub according to their policies.

Third parties
GitHub processes data under their own Privacy Statement (including potential transfers outside the EU with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or Data Privacy Framework certification).

Your rights
You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, or request data portability (where applicable). For comments you post, exercise these rights via GitHub. For consent-related queries or other questions about this policy, contact me at [your email, e.g., [email protected]].

No other tracking
This site uses only Cloudflare for basic hosting, CDN, and security (strictly necessary for site operation; no consent required). No other analytics, advertising, or tracking tools are in use.
